Travel Itinerary

Mahasawat Canal and Lam Phaya Floating Market

Enjoy a pickup from your centrally located hotels in Bangkok. Our tour guide will transfer you by our minibus to a local train station in Thonburi. Then enjoy a nostalgic train ride through the suburbs of Bangkok.

If the old nostalgic train does not delay our arrival time, we should arrive at the pier by 8:30 am, a perfect time to begin our journey on a makeshift-roof boat cruising along the Mahasawat canal, visiting interesting agricultural highlights of Mahasawat.

The order of boat stops is usually as follows: Uncle Jam’s Lotus Farm, Snack Shop, Orchid Farm, and Organic Orchard.

Uncle Jam’s Lotus Farm: A lotus farm is not over-exaggerated since lotuses have grown covering up almost the entire surface of the pond. Things to do here include paddling a paddle boat which the farmers use to collect lotuses around the pond, and learn how to fold lotus petals into the shape of a rose.

Snack Shop: Enjoy watching a demonstration on how to make crispy rice cakes from Women’s Agricultural Group of Mahasawat. You can also try to make your own crispy rice cakes, choosing from two delicious toppings including sesame seeds and shredded pork.

Orchid Farm: A collection of magnificent tropical orchids are grown for commercial purpose and exports. If you talk to the owner of the farm through our tour guide, you will learn a few tips on how to grow these beautiful orchids, which the owner exports to all over Thailand and several other countries such as Japan.

Organic Orchard: Thrilled by a ride on Rot E-taen, a local tractor used generally in farms, through Mr.Boonlert’s orchard and his rice field. Everyone will be suprised by the driver’s maneuverability skills and how fast a Rot E-taen can go.

Then our minibus will pick you up from Mahasawat and transfer you to Lam Phaya Floating Market, where you can enjoy sightseeing around the market by the river bank.

Return to your hotel in Bangkok. Arrive at your hotel in the afternoon.
